Reliable performance for conveyor and industrial applications.
DI, DL, DLM, Type E, Type E Defender, Type EXL, Imperial IP, Type K, S-2000, SC, SCM, SL, and more
Ball bearings (high-speed, moderate loads), tapered roller bearings (combined radial/thrust loads), spherical roller bearings (extreme loads, self-aligning)
Approximately 3/4″ to 3-7/16”, depending on bearing family
Set screw, eccentric collar, D-LOK concentric clamp, or Grip Tight adapter-style systems, depending on the bearing series and shaft requirements
Four bolt holes for maximum mounting strength and load distribution; available in standard square flange or piloted round flange configurations
Dodge Trident triple-lip contact seals, QuadGuard, Hydra-Seal, or Labyrinth Plus non-contact seals, depending on bearing family and application
Housing options include cast iron (standard duty), ductile iron (heavy duty), stainless steel (corrosive environments), and polymer composite for Food Safe or washdown applications
Factory pre-lubricated with provisions for relubrication (grease fittings)
Available in non-expansion and expansion configurations to accommodate thermal shaft growth
Standard, light, washdown, backside, foodsafe
Temperature ratings vary by bearing family, seal, and grease
Meets or exceeds ABMA and ISO standards for mounted bearings
We carry Dodge flange bearings in other bolt configurations to match your mounting requirements and load conditions:

2-bolt flange bearings (also called diamond flange bearings) provide compact vertical mounting for light to moderate load applications
A 3-bolt triangular pattern distributes mounting forces more evenly than 2-bolt designs while maintaining a relatively compact footprint.
Dodge bearings are manufactured in the USA at ISO 9001:2015-certified facilities. Fluent guarantees consistent quality and unrivaled lead times for OEM replacement bearings.
for reliable performance.
Dodge conveyor parts deliver measurable advantages that improve your conveyor’s performance and lifespan:

4-bolt flange bearings are available in different housing materials and seal configurations to match operating environments. Select materials and seals based on contamination exposure, temperature extremes, and washdown requirements.
For food processing conveyors, specify thermoplastic housings with food-grade grease (NSF H1 grease). These food and beverage bearings meet sanitary standards and withstand regular washdown cycles without degradation.
Choose a locking mechanism based on shaft loads, thermal expansion, and maintenance access.

Choose 4-bolt flange bearings for heavy-duty applications requiring maximum mounting strength and load capacity. The four-bolt square flange pattern provides superior load distribution and mounting rigidity to 2-bolt and 3-bolt configurations.
Common applications include:
Heavy-duty conveyor head shaft bearing and conveyor tail shaft bearing mounting
Large diameter idler shaft support for high-tension conveyor belt tracking and tensioning systems
Industrial material handling equipment in mining, aggregate processing, and heavy manufacturing
Wall or frame mounting applications requiring vertical surface mounting with high load capacity
Drive systems with significant radial and thrust loads
Continuous-duty operations
For lighter-duty applications, consider 2-bolt or 3-bolt configurations for more compact installations. Protect bearings with bearing guards in contaminated environments.
Relubricate bearings through a zerk fitting every 2,000–4,000 operating hours in clean environments. Increase frequency to 500–1,000 hours in dusty or wet conditions.
During lubrication, inspect the contact seal or metal shield for damage or deterioration. Replace damaged seals immediately to prevent contamination.
Check mounting bolt tightness monthly for the first three months, then quarterly. Vibration can loosen bolts over time.
Monitor bearing operating temperature during inspections. Temperatures exceeding the temperature rating (typically 180°F for standard units) indicate lubrication, loading, or alignment problems.

Flange bearing size is determined by load requirements, shaft diameter, mounting surface dimensions, conveyor speed, and environmental conditions. To figure out which flange bearing you need, follow these steps:
Dodge offers one of the industry's best mounted-bearing size ranges, so you can find an exact match.

Fluent designs and manufactures custom conveyors for aggregate, C&D, recycling, and other heavy industries. When you source flange bearings through Fluent, you're working with engineers who specify, install, and maintain these components every day.
