Slider bed conveyors

When the stream is loose office paper, fiber, or already-shredded output, the belt rides over a flat steel bed for smooth, precise movement at a low price point. Slider beds suit receiving, transfer, and light discharge duty where the load is uniform and the impact is low.

Roller Chain Conveyors

Roller chain conveyors use metal or rubber belts that hold the load on an incline, feed without slippage, and absorb the impact of cart dumps and loader feeds. For a plant running boxed records, OCC, and mixed paper at volume, this is the platform that refuses to quit. Builds scale from medium-duty through extreme heavy-duty, depending on load and abrasion. We also make a tumble-back variant for controlled metering into balers and other equipment.

Metering control via VFD lets operators trim the feed rate to shredder load in real time, the single most effective defense against jams and reverses.

Cleats and sidewalls hold loose paper, file folders, and round stock on the incline instead of letting it roll back at the feed angle.

Hoppers, chutes, and transitions direct paper into the shredder throat or baler charge box so material drops square instead of hanging at the transition.

Covers and guarding enclose transfer points to contain spillage and loose paper, which matters as much for a controlled security workflow as it does for housekeeping.

E-stops and pull cords are positioned for reach along the run and configured to support compliance with applicable conveyor safety standards.

Belt scrapers and wipers keep shredded-paper carryback off the return side, reducing cleanup and buildup under the line.

Speed sensors trigger alarms or shutdowns on belt slip or stall, protecting the drive and flagging a feed problem before it becomes a jam.

Dust control flanges capture the fine particulate that paper shredding generates at discharge and transfer points.

Dead man plates, halo lights, and alarms round out the safety package on lines where operators work close to the feed.

How we engineer the feed

We design each conveyor system to your shredder, baler, and material.

Feed rate to shredder load

Belt speed is tuned to deliver an even rate into the throat; variable speed control lets operators re-trim as the stream shifts. 50–400 ft/min variable-speed range.

Belt width and drive

Width and drive are sized to throughput and material depth. 18–84 inch standard belt widths.

Discharge geometry

The transition and discharge height are built to the shredder inlet or baler charge box, so material drops clean instead of hanging at the transition.

Guarding and covers

Side guards, covers, and access points are positioned to the run; e-stops and pull cords are placed for reach along the length and configured to support compliance with applicable conveyor safety standards. See our OSHA compliance page.

Controls

VFDs, photo eyes, and PLC/HMI options are specified to existing line programming and interlocks with the shredder and baler.

Material form: Loose paper, boxed records, bagged paper, or shredded output determines belt type and cleating.

Load method: Hand-fed, cart dump, bin tipper, or loader determines the incline, sidewalls, and duty tier

Target throughput determines belt speed, width, and drive size.

Shredder opening height determines discharge height and incline on the infeed.

Baler or collection point determines the length, discharge chute, and controls on the discharge side.

Facility layout: Pit, above-ground, or incline-into-hopper determines the frame and footprint.

Security workflow: Access points, guarding, and covers are configured to facility protocols.
