Beater bars (also squirrel cage return rolls) are steel rod-style return idlers that use controlled vibration to remove carryback material. As the belt rotates over the open steel bars, the rods dislodge stuck materials using vibration. Gaps between bars allow released material to fall instead of building up on the roll.
Beater bars are compatible with all rubber belts. They perform especially well with cleated conveyor belts and chevron belts since they can clean raised profiles without causing damage.
