Helical bevel drives feature a right-angle configuration where the output shaft sits perpendicular to the input shaft. This 90-degree power transmission allows vertical motor mounting, saving floor space in tight installations.
The helical bevel design uses angled gear teeth that mesh progressively, reducing noise and vibration while delivering 94–97% gear efficiency. The compact right-angle arrangement positions the motor vertically or horizontally above the conveyor frame.

Helical bevel drives and worm drives both provide right-angle power transmission, but they are suited to different applications.
