NEMA 12 E-stops should be spaced at intervals not exceeding 100 feet along conveyor runs in restricted access areas per ASME B20.1 guidelines. Radial stacker conveyors require E-stops at both the pivot point and along elevated sections. Tumble-back conveyors require placement near the discharge to prevent material rollback during emergency stops.
