Pull cords use a steel wire rope that runs parallel to the conveyor, enabling emergency machine shutdown from anywhere along the system, unlike push-button E-stops that function only at fixed locations. Pull cords provide continuous emergency stop capability along the conveyor length. When the cable is pulled or cut, an internal mechanical mechanism trips, breaking the safety contact and stopping the conveyor.
