Fluent supplies self-cleaning replacement wing pulleys for belt conveyors. Compatible with Fluent systems and retrofit installations. Standard, chevron, herringbone, and spiral wing patterns in CEMA, mine duty, and super duty classes for tail, bend, and return positions.
We supply the full catalog of wing pulleys from Superior Industries and PPI Global.
6"–60" (duty class dependent)
6"–72" (6"–46" in 2" increments, 51"–66" in 3" increments)
Standard, chevron, herringbone, spiral, round bar
CEMA, mine duty, super duty
QD, XT, taper-lock, keyless locking device
Flat or crowned
Abrasion-resistant (AR) steel contact bars
Center disc, standard on herringbone and on wings extending more than 6" from the shell
Static standard; dynamic balance available for belt speeds above 400 FPM
Wing pattern dictates how aggressively the pulley sheds material, how quietly it runs, and how it interacts with the belt. Match the pattern to material characteristics, splice type, and noise constraints.
Flat radial wings welded perpendicular to the pulley shell. Wings impact the belt at intervals as the pulley rotates, dislodging carryback that would otherwise adhere to a smooth drum surface. Handle general-duty applications where material sheds easily and lodging is not a primary concern.
Best for: Single-stream recycling, paper recycling, and portable conveyor applications.

and reduce downtime.
Specify drum pulleys when belts run dry and clean, when continuous full-belt support is required, when high-tension drives need the friction surface a lagged drum provides, or when intermittent wing impact would damage belt splices at high belt speed.

Specify wing pulleys when the conveyor handles wet materials, sticky carryback, or fine particles that cling to belt surfaces. The intermittent contact and open voids between wings allow material to fall away rather than recirculate to the drive end, where it accelerates belt wear and contaminates bearings.

Wing pulleys fail in distinct patterns from drum pulleys. Inspect wings on a duty-appropriate cadence and replace before secondary damage propagates to bearings, splices, or the belt itself.
Provide the following specifications when ordering a replacement wing pulley:
